New built agricultural workers’ home

After more then 7 years of living in a mobile home, David and Elizabeth Harris look set to get a permanent house. Their plan to build a new home in the Green Belt has been agreed by councilors.

The couple who run Childwickbury Goats currently live in a wooden mobile home close to the barns they use to accommodate their 80 animals. Now they have been given permission to build the low-rise three-bedroom sustainable agricultural workers’ home on the site.
St. Albans District Council’s planners heard that the house was “unusual, but by no means unacceptable”.
