Conversion of two traditional barns on the Woodcock Hill estate

Conversion of two traditional barns into showroom and office is a bold and very simple project retaining the existing steel columns and barrel vault shape.

The existing corrugated steel roof was replaced with contemporary aluminium roofing to comply with current building regulations and the soffit was left exposed to provide a crisp and modern solution, reminiscent of the original building’s soffit appearance.

All the existing sound oak weatherboarding was carefully removed and refixed and damaged areas were replaced with new oak weatherboarding’ stained black to retain the character.

Internally, all wall finishes are lime silver/sand mix, carried out by specialist tradesmen. The flooring is slate. The external works are minimal including hogging for the car park and simple grass apron surround.
