Conversion and refurbishment of a warehouse unit into a showroom

The 2000 conversion and refurbishment of a warehouse unit into a showroom for the Italian fabric designer and manufacturer.

Brooks Murray were commissioned to assist in the search for a suitable site, to coordinate the construction and statutory approvals for Enzo degli Angiuoni and his design architect Antonio Citterio and Partners.

The brief was to provide a London based showroom and design studio with ancillary office accommodation for the Italian fabrics manufacturer.

The design provided four distinct public areas: reception, presentation, studio and office with kitchen and toilet facilities located behind. The existing rolled steel structure was retained as a contrast to the contemporary fixtures and fittings. Dropped ceilings help to define specific spaces while the oak flooring provides a grid structure that unifies the space.
