The Drapery – Seven Sisters Road
The drapery building was once a large 1930’s department store for General drapery, fashion goods and mens outfitting.
This project was for the conversion of an art deco office block into residential apartments. The building was previously the London drapery store so the apartments were sensitively designed with the existing character of the building and kept classic and simple to fuse the modern with the heritage. Brooks Murray managed to get a total of 111 individual units within the existing curtilage.
The project underwent several applications and elevational deigns before arriving at the concluding scheme. This was one of our earlier projects with this particular client and since then we have gone on to do a number of schemes in similar size and quality. The mix comprised 24 x 1 beds, 78 x 2 beds, 8 x 3 beds and 1 x 4 bed flats. The project was completed in 2012.
